We have been spending a lot of time trying to foster independence within the classroom setting. As each month goes on we are giving the children more responsibilities in caring for their own belongings and needs. Each morning they need to empty their school bags and hang them up, remove and hangup their own coats, and find their name and put it in the attendance basket. As we move into the winter months we are asking your assistance in helping them learn to put on their coats and attempt to zip them. You would be surprised at how many of them will stick to it until they master it! Any help that you can give us at home is greatly appreciated.
